This past weekend, one of my brothers and his family came to visit from their home in Utah. They only had a few days and a lot of people to visit, in addition to taking their daughter to Disneyland, so their mini-vacation turned into a whirlwind. Luckily, they are uber-organized and arranged to spend the day with our family on Saturday. Originally we were all going to head to the beach, but fore-casted rain changed those plans and we stayed at my parents' house. My mom made her world famous (at least in our family) fajitas and my brother, the creative chef, experimented with guacamole toppings.
My favorite part of family get-togethers is the big group of my favorite people all jammed together under one roof. My nieces and nephews were having a blast running up and downstairs, playing with toys and building forts. My brothers and I were reminiscing about all the things we used to do as kids while my mom pretended to be shocked. My dad shared the bounty of garden with anyone who has a taste for exotic fruits and my SIL's discussed the latest news in the family. So many things going on at one time... I love the chaotic mess. Of course, I chased everyone around with my camera and got a few shots...
My brother likes to kid around that his wife is the boss and he has to put up with *so* much. Truth is, they are a match made in heaven and he is crazy about her.
The kids spent the majority of their time playing with the mountain of toys my parents have amassed for their grandkids...
Playing with toys, until they were instructed to go tackle their Uncle Mike...
The girls decided to help Grandma clean the kitchen... I think "doing the dishes" turned into "playing with bubbles"...
Toward the end of the evening, I spent a lot of time with my newest little nephew, Jackson. Since my brother lives in Utah, I've only seen the little guy a couple of times and he has changed so much since my last visit! He's so sweet and so happy... it doesn't take much to get him to crack an enormous smile!
I couldn't get over his chubby little cheeks and giant, wide eyes... and the fact that he was teething and drooled like faucet. Too cute!
I had so much fun with the family this weekend... Thanks for making the trip out, guys!

Looks like so much fun.
