Taaa-Daaa!  The new blog is here, people!  I am so excited to be debuting HUUUUUGE images for each post.  No more squinting, no more clicking to enlarge a photo....  just big, beautiful images!  Fantastic!  (Obviously, I am super excited about all this.  Seriously, I am jumping up and down in my chair right now.  If you love it as much as I do, or have any *constructive* criticism for me, please feel free to comment or send me an email.   - Thanks!)

Yay! Seattle AND PORTLAND!!

Well first off, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy October 1st and then ask, HOW HAS THIS YEAR GONE BY SO FAST??!  Sheesh... I found myself writing 2007 on a document the other day.  Next thing I know, I'll blink and it will be Christmas!

You know that cliche that goes "Time flies when you're having fun?"  It is so, so true.  I've been having fun behind the camera, in front of the computer, and getting ready to launch some major changes to my image (which will be revealed in the next few days - so, so, exciting!!) but it also means that my blogging has taken a hit.  Sorry about that.  Unfortunately, I don't quite have anything new for you yet, only a promise of things to come in the very near future. 

The one thing I can reveal, however, is that I have extended my Seattle trip by a few days and will be heading down to Portland for a visit as well.  My invitation still stands and if there is anywhere I absolutely should go, please let me know!  :)

Absence makes the heart grow fonder... right?

It's been awhile... I'm sorry.  Let me make it up to you and show you all the wonderful photographs I've been taking over the past couple weeks.  Oops - strike that.  I can't do that because I have no photographs to show you.  Unless we meet for coffee.  And then I will dump the whole pile of them in your lap. 

You see, a couple months ago I fell in love with Lester.  He knew I wanted to get back into film - wanted to re-connect with the medium that I fell in love with in the very beginning before the convenience of digital took over.  He knew I was vulnerable.  And so in the past few weeks, I have spent all my money on Polaroid film.  I've played with light, made adjustments and adaptations to my shooting style and shot some unbelievably beautiful stuff.  I am so in love... it's incredible that these little pictures fill me with such satisfaction.  But when the color and the grain and the square all come together... well, it's like magic.  And I would show you all of my favorites, I really would, if only I had a scanner. 

So, until I get my scanner (soon!  I promise!  In the meantime, enjoy these.) I'll make it up to you another way and extend the session special until July 15th.  This time, there are no rules.  You pick where and when, and I'll bring the camera.  Session fee is only $125.00.  (*Prints not included.*)  Let's go play in the summer-y San Diego sun.

Something Special to Welcome Summer...

You may notice that this post is lacking a photo.  Lots of words, but no pretty pictures.  So sad.  And why would I not post a photo with this post?  For the simple reason that I just don't have one with a Jacaranda tree (you know those gorgeous purple trees that are all over San Diego right now?  They are awesome...).

So, in order to remedy this small problem and to celebrate the beginning of summer and all things Beach-y, Sunshine-y, Vacation-y, and well, Summer-y, I am offering sessions for the next two weeks for only $125.  What do you get for $125 bucks?  A 1 hour session with me anywhere in San Diego that has Jacaranda trees, professional processing of 20-30 of the best images from your session, an on-line gallery, and a free 8x10 print.  Whew!

Rules:

Your session must take place anytime before June 20, 2008.
The $125 session fee is due at the time of your session. 
All other prints and hi-res digital files (besides the 8x10) will be offered for sale, but are not included in the session fee.

Out of Town...

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be out of town this weekend (4/5 - 4/7) for a couple of shoots, a concert and a workshop!  Whew!  All emails will be answered on Tuesday, when I'm back in the office.

I am a Southern California photographer who specializes in on-location, natural light photography.  The images you see here are all from recent sessions with wonderful clients or personal images from my life.  I am constantly at work behind the camera, honing my craft and indulging my passion.
